Cocktails for Two - Spike Jones and His City Slickers

On this week’s Peppermint Candy we chatted about Prohibition in America and how people got around the law by drinking cocktails. ‘Where’s the best place to get modern cocktail frocks?’ we hear you ask. Follow these simple instructions…

35ml London Dry Gin

10ml Creme de Violette

10ml Peppermint Liqueur

20ml fresh lemon juice

5ml sugar syrup

3 x mint leaves

Shake all the ingredients with ice using a cocktail shaker, then strain the liquid off the ice and into the glass. Garnish with a twist of lemon.
